Union Advance Puzzle

This puzzle depicts the 1887 print by Louis Prang, Union and Confederate troops collide near the Dunker Church during the early morning hours of September 17, 1862l. The fighting around the church was savage and intense; and, by the time darkness mercifully brought an end to the battle, more than 23,000 Americans had been killed, wounded, captured or listed as missing.
