Antietam Stereograph

This Antietam Stereograph depicts many of the greatest Civil War photographs that were made as a stereo negative. The camera had two lenses the same distance apart as the human eyes. Two images were taken at the same time, reproduced on a card, and through a special viewer, a three dimensional effect was produced.
